The Prefecture of Grevena is a region blessed by nature, a land of incomparable natural beauty that offers unforgettable experiences to visitors year-round. It occupies the southwestern part of the Western Macedonia region. It is a mountainous prefecture with high mountains forested with pine trees, beech trees and rombola, with hospitable and cheerful people, rich history and tradition, significant struggles and contribution. Theirthe geological center of the ocean of Tethys has been identified, where millions of years ago Europe was born! 7. The Mushroom Museum. Τhe Mushroom museum in Lavda Grevena opened on 6 November 2011. In a traditional stone building and hosts natural wild mushrooms , dried and sculptures , which were incorporated in showcases which are miniature of nature.For all mushrooms are given information with rich literature and audiovisual material. Moreover an opportunity is provided for microscopic examinations. Museums Of Natural History (Museum of Paleontology).
