Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern all travel services arranged by GA Trips (“GA Trips”, “we”, “us”). Where the travel services arranged by GA Trips constitute a package within the meaning of applicable Greek and European package travel legislation, including Presidential Decree 7/2018 implementing Directive (EU) 2015/2302, GA Trips acts as the organiser of that package and the mandatory rights granted to travellers under applicable law apply. By confirming a booking, the client (“you”) agrees to be bound by these Terms.
1. Scope of Services
GA Trips provides tailor-made travel planning and destination management services in Greece, including accommodations, transfers, transportation where expressly included, and experiences. All services are provided as a complete package. Partial bookings or standalone services are not offered.
2. Booking & Contract Formation
Before the client is bound by a package travel contract, GA Trips will provide the applicable pre-contractual information required by law, including the main characteristics of the travel services, the total package price and payment arrangements, applicable cancellation information, and the relevant statutory package travel information.
A binding agreement is formed upon:
- The client's acceptance of the proposed package and applicable booking terms,
- Written confirmation from GA Trips, and
- Receipt of the required deposit or payment
The client will receive confirmation of the package travel contract on a durable medium in accordance with applicable law. All services are subject to availability at the time of booking. GA Trips reserves the right to decline any booking request before a contract is formed.
3. Payments
- A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm services
- The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to arrival
- Bookings made within 60 days of travel require full payment at booking
Failure to complete payment by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking and the application of the cancellation terms set out below, subject only to any mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable package travel legislation.
4. Pricing & Currency
All prices are quoted as package rates and are not itemized, in accordance with supplier agreements.
Prices:
- Are subject to change until booking is confirmed
- May be affected prior to confirmation by currency fluctuations, supplier increases, or tax changes
GA Trips reserves the right to adjust pricing prior to confirmation. Once the package travel contract has been concluded, the agreed package price may only be increased where permitted by applicable package travel legislation and where the contract expressly reserves that right. Any permitted increase will be communicated clearly to the traveller, together with the calculation and justification for the increase, within the period required by law. Where required by mandatory applicable law, corresponding statutory price adjustment rights will apply.
5. Cancellation Policy
The traveller may terminate the package travel contract before the start of the package. Except where mandatory applicable package travel legislation expressly provides otherwise, termination by the traveller is subject to the following cancellation charges:
- The 30% deposit is non-refundable following confirmation of the booking
- Cancellation 60 days or less before the scheduled start of travel: 100% of the package price is non-refundable
These cancellation charges reflect the timing of cancellation, commitments made to suppliers, administrative and planning work undertaken, anticipated cost savings and the ability to redeploy the travel services. Where required by applicable law, GA Trips will provide justification for the applicable cancellation charge upon request.
The above cancellation charges will not apply only where, and only to the extent that, mandatory applicable package travel legislation expressly gives the traveller a statutory right to terminate without a cancellation fee and all legal conditions for that right are satisfied.
Any refund that GA Trips is legally required to provide under mandatory applicable law will be processed within the legally prescribed period.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
6. Changes & Amendments
Any changes requested by the client after confirmation:
- Are subject to availability
- May incur additional costs
GA Trips is not responsible for price differences resulting from client-requested modifications.
Before the start of the package, GA Trips may make insignificant changes to the package where permitted by law and will communicate such changes clearly to the traveller on a durable medium.
Where a proposed change by GA Trips is of a nature that gives rise to specific mandatory rights under applicable package travel legislation, those rights will apply only to the extent and under the conditions required by that legislation. GA Trips will communicate any such qualifying change and the options required by applicable law without undue delay.
7. Third-Party Suppliers & Responsibility for Package Performance
GA Trips works with independent third-party suppliers, including but not limited to:
- Hotels
- Transport providers
- Activity operators
Where GA Trips is the organiser of a package, GA Trips is responsible for the proper performance of the travel services included in the package travel contract to the extent required by applicable package travel legislation, irrespective of whether those services are performed directly by GA Trips or by independent travel service providers.
If a travel service included in the package is not performed in accordance with the package travel contract, the traveller must notify GA Trips without undue delay, taking into account the circumstances of the case, and allow GA Trips a reasonable opportunity to investigate and, where required by applicable law, remedy the lack of conformity. GA Trips is not required to remedy a lack of conformity where doing so is impossible or would entail disproportionate costs, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Where a significant proportion of the travel services cannot be provided as agreed after the package has begun, GA Trips will provide alternative arrangements only where and to the extent required by applicable law. Any entitlement to a price reduction, compensation or other remedy will be determined strictly in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the individual case.
Individual suppliers may also operate under their own terms and conditions insofar as those terms do not restrict the traveller's mandatory statutory rights against GA Trips as organiser of the package.
8. Limitation of Liability
GA Trips' liability in connection with a package will be determined in accordance with applicable Greek and European package travel legislation and any applicable international conventions.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, compensation for damage other than personal injury or damage caused intentionally or through negligence is limited to three times the total price of the package.
Where international conventions binding on the European Union limit the extent or conditions under which compensation is payable by a travel service provider, the same limitations will apply to GA Trips to the extent permitted by applicable law.
GA Trips will not be liable for compensation where, and to the extent that, the lack of conformity is attributable to the traveller, is attributable to an unconnected third party and is unforeseeable or unavoidable, or is caused by unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances, in each case to the extent provided by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by mandatory law.
9. Unavoidable & Extraordinary Circumstances
Events beyond the control of the party invoking them, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken, may constitute unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances under applicable package travel legislation. Such circumstances may include, depending on the facts of the particular situation:
- Natural disasters
- Severe weather conditions
- Strikes or labor disputes
- Government actions or restrictions
- Serious public health events
- Other serious security or travel disruptions beyond the control of the affected party
The existence of such circumstances does not by itself create an automatic right to cancel without charge or receive compensation. Any right of either party arising from unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances will apply only where the specific conditions established by mandatory applicable package travel legislation are satisfied.
If unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances prevent GA Trips from performing the package and GA Trips terminates the package before it begins, GA Trips will provide any refund required by mandatory applicable law. Where GA Trips is exempt from additional compensation under applicable law, no additional compensation will be payable.
10. Travel Insurance
Personal travel insurance is not included in your GA Trips package unless expressly stated otherwise.
GA Trips strongly recommends that all travellers purchase comprehensive travel insurance appropriate to their individual circumstances and journey. Travellers should consider coverage for trip cancellation and interruption, medical expenses, emergency medical assistance and evacuation, travel delays, baggage and personal belongings, and other risks relevant to their trip.
The traveller is responsible for reviewing the terms, conditions, exclusions and coverage limits of any travel insurance policy purchased. Personal travel insurance purchased by the traveller is separate from GA Trips' professional liability and statutory insolvency protection as a travel organiser.

11. Flights & Transportation
International flights are not included in GA Trips packages unless explicitly stated otherwise in the individual package travel contract.
GA Trips may arrange transportation within Greece as part of a package, including domestic flights, ferries and private transfers, where expressly included in the itinerary and package travel contract.
Where international or other flights are booked independently and are not included in the GA Trips package, clients are responsible for:
- Booking those flights
- Ensuring appropriate connection times with the services included in their GA Trips package
- Managing airline changes or cancellations relating to those independently booked flights
GA Trips is not responsible for independently booked flights or transportation that does not form part of the GA Trips package. GA Trips' responsibilities for transportation expressly included in the package are limited to those imposed by applicable mandatory package travel legislation.
12. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Valid passports and travel documents
- Compliance with applicable passport, visa, entry and health requirements
- Providing complete, accurate and timely information reasonably required for the booking and performance of the package
- Timely arrival for all scheduled services
The traveller is responsible for losses, additional costs or consequences resulting from failure to meet these responsibilities to the extent attributable to the traveller. Such failure does not entitle the traveller to a refund except where mandatory applicable law expressly provides otherwise.
13. Health & Special Requirements
Clients must inform GA Trips in advance of any circumstances or special requirements relevant to the suitability or performance of the travel services, including:
- Relevant medical or health requirements
- Mobility limitations
- Dietary or other special requirements
GA Trips will provide information regarding the suitability of the package for persons with reduced mobility where required by applicable law and, upon request, information regarding suitability taking into account the traveller's stated needs.
GA Trips cannot be responsible for consequences resulting from relevant information that was not disclosed accurately and in sufficient time for GA Trips to take it into account, except to the extent that mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.
14. Assistance During Travel
Where required by applicable package travel legislation, GA Trips will provide appropriate assistance without undue delay to a traveller in difficulty during the package. Such assistance may include providing appropriate information regarding health services, local authorities and consular assistance, and assisting the traveller in making distance communications or finding alternative travel arrangements.
Where permitted by applicable law, GA Trips may charge a reasonable fee for such assistance where the difficulty was caused intentionally by the traveller or through the traveller's negligence. Any such fee will not exceed the actual costs incurred by GA Trips.
15. Complaints & Problems During Travel
Travellers must inform GA Trips without undue delay of any lack of conformity or problem identified during the performance of a travel service included in the package, taking into account the circumstances of the case, so that GA Trips has an opportunity to investigate and, where possible and required, remedy the issue.
Travellers may contact GA Trips using the contact information provided in their booking documentation and trip plan. Any entitlement to a remedy will be determined in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the individual case. Nothing in this section excludes any mandatory right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Insolvency Protection
GA Trips maintains professional liability insurance which includes protection relating to its activities as a travel agency and organiser of package travel.
Where required under applicable package travel legislation, GA Trips maintains insolvency protection relating to the refund of traveller payments for travel services not performed as a consequence of the insolvency of GA Trips and, where applicable to transportation included in the package, the protection required in relation to repatriation.
This protection concerns the insolvency, bankruptcy or liquidation of GA Trips and is separate from personal travel insurance purchased independently by travellers.

17. Privacy

18. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece, including applicable mandatory Greek and European Union consumer and package travel legislation.
Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Greek courts, except to the extent that mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.
19. Mandatory Package Travel Rights
Where a booking constitutes a package within the meaning of applicable package travel legislation, only those traveller rights that are mandatory under Presidential Decree 7/2018, Directive (EU) 2015/2302 or other applicable mandatory legislation apply notwithstanding these Terms. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude a right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If any provision of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory provision of applicable package travel law, that mandatory provision will prevail only to the extent of the conflict, and all remaining provisions of these Terms will continue in full force to the maximum extent permitted by law.
20. Acceptance
By confirming a booking, the client acknowledges that they have received the applicable booking and pre-contractual information, have read and understood these Terms & Conditions, and agree to be bound by them. Any mandatory statutory rights apply only to the extent that they cannot lawfully be excluded or limited by agreement.
